About the role:
The Director of Recruitment and Retention executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. The Director of Recruitment and Retention plans, develops and directs a high level of staffing services and best practices, while guiding hiring administrators and managing third party vendor relationships. This position collaborates with members of the Human Resources team.
What you’ll do:
* Collaborates with HR leadership to develop and implement strategic long-range recruitment plans that support the organization’s vision and goals and promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
* Researches, develops, and implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
* Enhances the organization’s current recruiting programs, policies and procedures.
* Creates “high need list” of hard-to-fill positions and ensures timely candidate interviews occur for candidates who qualify for these positions.
* Handles the recruitment for critical/key and executive positions.
* Collaborates with hiring managers to develop proactive and creative recruitment strategies that support their business needs and effective tools to source, assess, and pre-qualify highly preferred job candidates.
* Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively.
* Responsible for metrics reporting.
* Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
* Maintains cost effective and efficient practices that are consistent with the recruitment budget.
* Develops network with other recruitment professionals, third party vendors, job board providers, schools and community organizations.
* Works with data to enable HR leadership to make and support business decisions. Monitor, analyze and interpret data; using data and metrics identify trends and recommend new and evolving recruiting and retention programs, to include DEI initiatives.
* Manages company ATS system, recruiting websites, third-employee vendors, referrals, and sourcing methods.
* Oversight to ensure accurate and well-organized documentation is maintained in the ATS database on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities, and efficiently track and record all candidate paperwork.
* Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive retention programs to enhance success (i.e., early alert, progress reports, etc.).
* Collaborates with HR and managers to conduct stay interviews and monitor employee satisfaction, retention issues and trends.
* Conducts exit interviews and identify and report on trends (positives and challenges).
* Attend recruiting and company staff events.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field; or 5 years of progressively responsible experience in recruiting/talent acquisition.
* Experience as a Recruiting Manager managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
* Experience building and managing relationships with senior management, colleagues, vendors and third-party administrators.
* Proficient in ATS systems. Experience with ADP system preferred.
* SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus!
* Knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
* Proven track record of creating and implementing best practices for recruitment methods and processes, and sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
* Knowledgeable about DEI best practices and experience with diversity-related planning and program implementation.
* Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
* Excellent decision-making skills.
* Strong people and project management skills.
