Responsibilities:
• Collaborate and contribute on a team of advanced concepts engineers to meet Textron Specialized Vehicles Sustainability Commitment.
• Prepare production locations and R&D areas for high voltage electric vehicle designing, prototyping, building, and manufacturing. Serve as the subject matter expert for high voltage electric vehicles.
• Design, develop, and test various high voltage electric powertrain prototype vehicles including off-road recreational, turf and lawn care, snowmobile, industrial, airport fleet support, and exploratory research in non-marketed prototypes.
• Initiate high voltage vehicles across Textron Specialized Vehicles product lines, consulting with EHS and operations on best practices to integrate new high voltage systems and products.
• Develop component and assembly level engineering drawings.
• Assist in design and documentation of vehicle electrical architecture.
• Perform cross functional design reviews and Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) assessments on components and assemblies.
• Work with outside suppliers to develop new technologies and cost reductions for electrical and electronic systems.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering with electrical experience;
Master’s degree in electrical, industrial, systems, or mechatronics engineering preferred
• Years of
Experience:
4 or more years of experience with high voltage vehicles required; 6 years preferred
• Software Knowledge:
Matlab, Microsoft Office applications, UG / CAD/ Teamcenter, NX, CANbus
