Requirements
TCP is hiring a head of administration and senior executive assistant (“Sr. EA”). The Sr. EA will be in on the ground floor of TCP’s growth and will be a valued member of our 11-person team (12 people, including you!) from day-one. The Sr. EA will have three responsibilities: (1) serve as executive and administrative assistant to the Founder and CEO of TCP; (2) be head marketer for TCP, managing email correspondence with investment bankers and investors, organizing business development meetings, updating TCP’s website and LinkedIn, etc.; and (3) administer TCP’s simple back-office, by using our accounting, HR, and IT software; by ensuring our lawyers and accountants make filings with relevant state and federal regulatory agencies; and by establishing policies and procedures to professionalize TCP and run its day-to-day. We believe getting and keeping our firm organized is critical to our success. So we deeply value this role and look forward to this important recruiting process.

5+ years of experience as an administrative and/or executive assistant. Can be less experience for an exceptional and ambitious candidate.
Preferable to also have experience as a sales development rep / appointment setter or PR associate. Totally OK if you are an introvert, because it’s mostly electronic communication. But you need to be willing to learn these skills and need to have a “charm the customer” mentality with TCP’s counterparties.
You might be an ideal fit if you’ve worked at a Professional Services firm (overlaps with our pace-of-work, cultural norms, expectations, even jargon). Think real estate firm, VC or PE firm, accountancy, law firm, consultancy, etc.
Also, you might be an ideal fit if you’ve worked at a small firm or startup (reflects our culture – think entrepreneurial, wear-many-hats, “figure it out; get it done” mentality, etc.). Equally, you might be an ideal fit if you worked at a large firm but you’d prefer a small firm atmosphere (you disliked bureaucracy, or you disliked being in an “admin pool”, or you wanted more responsibility and impact, or you wanted a close team that’s more of a “work family”, etc.).

All told, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, organized, confident, and trustworthy executive assistant to handle administrative, back-office, and biz dev activities for our CEO, so we can take our firm to new heights. Over 6 years, we have grown from 2 people and $0 in assets to 11 people and $300m in assets.
