Client Impactful Work:
The HR Generalist role is for the MSD Commercial organization (Sales and Services orgs) This role requires the ability to partner with mid-level business leaders and support and drive day to day HR work & initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person who has an HR generalist or HR Business Partner background.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and implement HR functional initiatives and assist with program roll outs
Provide HR support and coaching to mid-level managers on HR policies and processes, investigations and other employee issues
Assist mid-level managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs
Maintains compliance with US, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues.
Builds credibility and develops trusted relationships
Works with the talent acquisition team to drive recruitment efforts and job offer process
Supports the HR BP’s with HR projects, initiatives and annual programs
Drive manager and employee Self-Service adoption on HR processes and highly repeatable functional tasks
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business administration, or related field
Experience
Generally, 3+ years of HR work experience or equivalent experience required
Knowledge and Complexity of Role
Must have demonstrable track record in various aspects of human resources (staffing, compensation, employee relations).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, experience using a HRIS database and reporting application
Highly collaborative, results focused, and have a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
Strong analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
Excellent influencing skills, along with ability to build positive professional relationships
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, and follow up on projects and issues
Demonstrate *** values Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement
Demonstrates personal awareness and desire for continual learning, personal development, as well as being structured, determined, and with a positive ‘can-do’ demeanor
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies to include state and Federal labor laws.

Hybrid Role: HM is only seeking a local candidate at this time who is local to the Hillsboro, OR location and can come onsite 1 day a week if needed.
Interviews: 2-3 rounds of MS Teams interviews
Education: Although a bachelor’s degree is preferred, the HM would accept someone with a Associate’s degree
Personality: The ideal candidate is someone who is a self starter, works well autonomously, is a problem solver, can serve as the 1st POC in essence for this team and feels comfortable knowing when to escalate a problem. This person should feel very confident speaking to leaders, working with senior level managers, interacting with sales professionals, engineers, and customer support team members and representing ******* in a professional way at all times. They need to be self-motivated and have a strong grasp of HR generalist duties. This is NOT a role for someone who has only serves as an HR assistant in the past.
**This person could be offered a FTE role at the end of the 12 months if this is available, but there are no gurantees.
