We are looking for someone with experience with UI/UX Design for e-commerce website. Our web team is a powerhouse team that focuses on website design, Ecommerce SEO, social media, and website optimization – all while building real, life changing connections with our customers. We manage multiple Heritage Landscape Supply Group websites, each with their own customer base and following.

Responsibilities:

• UX (user experience) design; improving the user’s experience on our websites, such as making it easier to use and more enjoyable
• Create engaging and enjoyable user experiences for web and mobile applications
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
• Create prototypes and perform user testing to guide each iteration of the website design
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets and other navigation components
• Design and create wireframes as well as develop and test prototypes
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Plan and implement new designs
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Optimize existing user interface designs
• Test for intuitively and experience
• Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
• Collaborate with other designers and executives to find solutions that improve user experience
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Test new ideas before implementing
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Work with full-stack developer to integrate prototype into user interface

Skills:

• 2-3 years of proven experience in UX/UI, visual design, and development
• Must have a strong understanding of human behavior, as well as the latest trends in user experience design Intermediate sense of website design/aesthetics
• Should be able to think creatively to solve problems and create new user experiences that are both functional and appealing
• Experience with design software and wireframe tools
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator Sketch, inVision etc.)
• Must provide a portfolio of UX design work
• Exceptional eye for mobile-friendly/Mobile 1st design
