Splits59 Los Angeles Looking for DESIGNER – Women’s Activewear at Los Angeles, California Full Time

Position Summary:

The Designer will be responsible for designing and executing seasonal collections.  This is an exciting opportunity for a trend oriented, talented Designer to work with head of Merchandising and company principals to create exciting and brand appropriate collections.  

Major Responsibilities: 

• Design seasonal Splits59 collections.
• Research and identify marketplace trends on style, fit and color while maintaining the Splits59 vintage/heritage aesthetic.  
• Communicate design vision and stories to internal and external partners.
• Work closely with Product Development to ensure proper and timely execution.  
• Attend proto fittings and follow up on changes and fit corrections.
• Complete full tech packs for initial proto development including generating detail flats and black line artwork.  
• Create fashion drawings/sketches and seasonal CAD line sheets.  
• Create a master digital library.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years fashion design experience.  
• Experience designing Activewear a plus.  
• High taste level with proven ability to create exciting and saleable collections.
• Ability to create tech packs.
• Deadline oriented with ability to manage and adhere to time and action calendars.
• Proficient in computer-aided design programs (CAD, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) to create sketches
• Organized, detail oriented with outstanding follow through
• Adapt quickly to change, flexible and can-do attitude
