Our client, a fast-growing beauty brand, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Ecommerce to drive the long term profitable growth of their DTC experience and .com strategy. Will have accountability for financial objectives. This is a highly visible role within the organization, is instrumental to driving future growth, and is in office 4 days/1 day remote.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage day to day operations to attain sales objectives and enable best in class customer experience
Work with the creative and online production teams to create, launch, and QA new features on a rolling basis that drive incremental business
Manage reporting to deliver monthly and quarterly reports covering key site metrics and planning (e.g., site traffic, page views, page performance, abandonment rates, etc.)
Develop the online activation calendar that marries with the overall brand calendar and brand opportunities
Initiate market-specific launches, promotions, live streams, and other programs
Partner with product marketing on online specific needs (e.g., samples, online exclusives, brand site differentiation)
Manage the rollout of international enhancements to grow sales globally and establish .com as a top door in new markets
Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to set guidelines for appropriate sell through and merchandising of limited life items and forecasting of new product launches
Manage external vendors, contracts, relationships, and technical requirements to continue to develop and enhance the ecommerce platform
Be a thought leader on evolving industry trends and technology that would support the brand’s vision and goals Online Retailers
Enable retailer.com acceleration strategies that build the brand and drive the overall D2C business
Work with sales, trade marketing, and regional teams to facilitate the creation and execution of retail.com promotional activities and merchandising strategy
Maintain a detailed understanding of the Brand’s Global Launch Calendars including market-specific launches, promotions, and programs
Uphold and audit retailer .com guidelines with all international retailers in partnership with regional contacts
Qualifications:
BA/BS required, MBA a plus
8-12 years of experience in direct or ecommerce environment
5 years of experience in managing a high-volume business to consumer ecommerce business
Proven track record of driving results and innovation from ecommerce initiatives
Ability to identify, scope, and implement digital solutions while meeting ROI goals
High proficiency in ecommerce KPIs, online analytics and testing; knowledge of Google Analytics a plus
Strong knowledge of current ecommerce trends, strategies, and techniques
Entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
Proven experience in leading teams including providing direction, understanding resource capability and successfully driving results working with internal or external resources
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and to manage cross-functional business partners who are not direct line reports
Strong financial acumen for planning purposes and P&L
Experience in the beauty industry preferred
