How you’ll make an impact:
This Staff Product Manager at Connected Vehicle Services will be responsible for the requirements, roadmap and launch of tools supporting the Product Development and DevSecOps lifecycle in the organization. This position works closely with product development, DevSecOps and program management teams to deliver a low-friction, highly effective, and efficient tools pipeline beginning at product requirements documentation, into product development, all the way through CICD delivery of products to development, staging and production environments.
What you’ll do:
The Staff Product Manager is responsible for driving and shaping the roadmap for key components of our connected vehicle platform, with a focus on internal tools powering our product development and DevSecOps teams. This highly collaborative role will focus on internal stakeholders across product, engineering, operations and program management.
Define, drive and execute on a roadmap and vision by converting abstract ideas into actionable steps and realistic deliverables for internal Product Development and DevSecOps tools.
Become a subject matter expert on the product, platform and industry trends in DevSecOps tools.
Facilitate and collaborate with a cross-functional team across product, engineering, operations, finance, program management to launch tools and processes throughout their lifecycle from ideation to sunset.
Active member of the product development team, helping to define high-level product strategy aligned with business vision.
Develop crisp business requirements through persona definitions, user stories and user journeys.
Establish and build relationships with external partners, vendors and other 3rd party companies.
Develop business cases and justification for new initiatives/products to secure investment.
Manage trade-offs across customer experience, performance, cost and time in prioritizing user stories and epics.
Interface and partner with all levels of the SiriusXM Connected Vehicle business leadership.
What you’ll need:
To be successful in this role, you will need an unwavering focus on the customer, a market driven approach, meticulous attention to detail, and an ability to deliver robust, scalable enterprise products. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent the team in open forums, with customers, peers within SXM CV, and with senior executives.
The successful candidate will have a bias for action, and be a curious, open-minded and collaborative product manager who has a passion for creating partnerships with other product managers, clients, designers and developers to deliver enterprise grade products and services. They will work closely with multiple stakeholders to define product vision and goals, prioritize, plan and deliver value for our customers and the business.
8+ years of experience in engineering or product management in a technology organization.
Experience defining and prioritizing product features.
Experience facilitating and driving consensus across a cross-functional team.
Customer-first orientation. You will interview, analyze, observe and learn about your audience to create insights that will shape requirements, features and the product roadmap.
Ability to absorb and synthesize complex and ambiguous requirements, organizing them into structured requirements, user journeys, personas, and user stories.
Ability to prioritize cross-initiative requirements in service of organizational goals.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Engineering or technical background with a strong ability to understand and interface with engineering on a daily basis.
Experience with engineering, DevOps, release management, Infrastructure-as-code, and deployment pipeline tools preferred.
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
