The Simpson College Teacher
Education Department is seeking an application for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor of Teacher Education beginning on or about
August 20, 2023. Course load may include foundational or core education courses, such as Foundations of Education, Child & Adolescent
Development, or Assessment, Planning, & Teaching, in addition to any areas of specialization and experience the candidate possesses.

This full-time, visiting position begins August 21, 2023 and requires a Ph.D. or Ed.D. (ABD candidates will be considered), or a
Master’s degree with significant educational experience and a commitment to complete a terminal degree. The position also requires a
strong background in K-12 teaching experience. Candidates for the position must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and a
willingness to engage students in scholarship, research and/or creative work. The ideal candidate will also have exemplary undergraduate and
graduate-level college teaching experience and familiarity with integrating instructional technology across disciplines. The candidate must
share the Teacher Education faculty’s commitment to innovative, socially and culturally responsive teaching and research within an
engaged liberal arts college community.
Successful applicants must demonstrate a commitment to cultural diversity and inclusive
