Who we are looking for:
Director, Client Success for a rapidly growing CTV advertising technology company seeking a customer-centric executive to lead the Client Success team. The Director, Client Success is a subject-matter expert and industry thought leader charged with managing the Client Success team and will own all account management functions across all clients. The chosen candidate is a player/coach that will partner directly with the key accounts to provide support on all matters including strategy, performance, and growth while coaching direct reports’ support of other portfolio accounts. This person will recruit, train, and lead a team of Client Success Managers (CSM’s) while providing oversight and direction all in a fast-paced and rapidly changing startup environment.
Responsibilities:
● Oversee all foundational aspects of the Client Success including, onboarding, campaign setup, QA, performance checks, and overall account management.
● Actively engage with cross functional partners and work collaboratively to ensure that clients receive maximum value from the partnership
● Recruit, train, and lead the Client Success team
● Monitor the health and satisfaction of the portfolio of customers
● Own a portfolio of ‘high priority’ clients that require extra care
● Act as primary voice with clients when discussing driving strategy recommendations and performance
● Develop and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders, including senior management
● Create and implement short-term and long-term objectives, strategies, and tactics for the Client Success Team
● Keep on top of industry news, trends, best practices, and critical information related to their marketplaces which may include attending client presentations or training and applying appropriate perspective to assigned accounts
Qualifications:
● 8+ years of experience in a client-facing digital, tv, and/or social marketing role focused on campaign performance and optimization and/or performance marketing role with a brand
● 2+ years leading a team of client-facing individual contributors
● Fluency in the current ad-tech ecosystem and capability to discuss it with clients and teammates of varying abilities
● Ability to clearly and concisely communicate abstract, technical concepts in the context of their business value to non-technical stakeholders.
● Experience with OTT streaming video (avid streamers a plus) and linear TV, as well as the planning, buying, and measurement processes across both.
● Experience structuring teams as well as hiring, managing and mentoring them.
● Ability to perform at a high level, even when faced with unexpected change, creative problem solver
● An effective communicator with excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills who loves to connect with people
● Excels in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing startup culture, and wants to play a key role in the next generation of TV advertising.
● Independently motivated, solutions-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable within a world of ambiguity, selling new technologies that are disruptive to traditional industries.
