The Program Manager III is responsible for management of a specific, highly complex program or group of highly complex programs in a specialty/functional area including scheduling and budgeting activities and works in collaboration with leaders to implement the program’s objectives in support of identified goals and the continuous improvement process. Responsible for monitoring the program’s effectiveness and mobilizing stakeholders in support of continuous improvement to the program. Leads interdepartmental activities ensuring ongoing effective program operation and/or implementation. Responsible for identifying strategic opportunities to enhance or expand the program, developing plans and presenting proposals to management. Manages the process of executing initiatives essential for the success of the program, including communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Oversees and leads teams in support of the program’s objectives. This level has wide latitude for independent judgment and decision making in executing on the goals of the program.

SS Bachelors Degree in education, organizational development, curriculum development or instructional design, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
o Preferred: Masters in education, organizational development or business
SS 5 years experience in corporate learning and/or leadership development, organizational development, or related business roles
SS Proven record of designing and launching successful learning programs or projects
SS Demonstrated ability to design, develop and maintain educational curriculum and resources
SS Proven leadership skills with ability to exercise independent judgment and manage competing priorities
SS Certified learning & development professional
SS Experience working with Articulate Storyline software, Adobe Premier, Adobe Cloud and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS)
SS Familiarity with change management methodologies and demonstrated experience and ability to lead and manage change
SS Knowledge of Agile project management
SS Knowledge or experience in foundational principles and methods for continuous improvement, lean, six sigma, or similar methodologies
SS Analytical thinker able to apply disciplined approach to needs assessment and program evaluation
SS Demonstrated ability to create, implement and sustain effective solutions that achieve objectives using appropriate methodologies and best practices in program design
SS Effective written communication/interpersonal skills demonstrated during interaction with people of varying personalities, cultures and professional disciplines

Strategy and Goals:
SS Maintain clarity of strategic goals, vision, and details of the Education & Simulation Academy and alignment with Seattle Children’s goals, strategic plans, and the greater I&I Divisional Program
SS Monitor project/action plans and operational plans to achieve the I&I Academy’s annual goals and business objectives
SS Escalates concerns and barriers in an effective, positive and solution-oriented manner
SS Participates and leads in annual planning processes
Program Development & Management:
SS Develop and/or improve programs and resources that support the learning and development of our staff & faculty in support of the I&I Program
SS Manage, communicate, and monitor initiatives, projects, and plans to sustain and enhance excellence within the Academy
SS Provide team and stakeholders with feedback in order to recommend and develop impact plans and other interventions that lead to continuous improvement of service delivery
Program Evaluation & Data Analysis
SS Evaluate Education portfolio quality by managing portfolio, analysing ongoing ROI, and identifying areas for improvement.
SS Evaluate Simulaton Service Line success by partnering with Sim Lead to assess data, analyze results, and identify areas for improvement
SS Develop needs-assessments and quality assessment surveys
SS Analyze assessment results and provide recommendations on actions and next steps for improvement
SS Prepare data and reports for various audiences presenting the outcomes and analysis of results
SS Promote innovation in evaluation and effectiveness of learning
Program Marketing
SS Promote awareness and participation in education offerings and simulation service lines
SS Utilize a broad range of communication strategies to promote Academy resources and engagements
SS Write and edit materials related to current educational projects and initiatives
SS Collaborate with cross-functional teams to engage in innovative marketing strategies
Content Development & Maintenance
SS Design and develop interactive learning resources and engagements utilizing the latest in brand standards
SS Test/troubleshoot training materials
SS Define organizational/learner objectives and evaluation measures
SS Design approach and content in support of identified objectives
SS Create primary learning materials using Articulate Storyline and Rise software or other future available technologies
SS Create ancillary materials (e.g. manuals, PPT presentations, job aids, etc)
SS Review programs to reflect new information or re-design programs in response to feedback from evaluation process
SS Develop train-the-trainer/train-the-facilitator courses and others as assigned
Requirements
Required Education/Experience: – Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience – 7 years experience in a lead role overseeing program/project management – 5 years experience working on quality and process improvement projects with cross-functional teams; including data collection, analysis and reporting – Proven record of leading large project teams through project completion, program planning, execution and status reporting – Demonstrated successful experience working with vendors, consultants and other purchased services – Knowledge of Lean concepts and methods – Experience representing program in management meetings with executive-level program stakeholders Required Credentials: – N/A Preferred: – Masters in Health Administration, business, or health care-related field – Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification – Awareness of current and emerging trends in project management technologies, techniques, issues and approaches – Experience working in public health, health care or social services
