The Material & Supply Chain Manager, located in Gladwin, MI, is a member of the operations staff, responsible to plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet changing levels of product demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. This position will routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary. The qualified individual will continuously drive KPI improvements for inventory turns, inventory accuracy, and cost reductions. The qualified individual will be responsible for monitoring and correcting inventory levels based on SIOP inputs from sales, capacity constraints, Supply Chain lead times and financial targets. The qualified individual will develop an appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost. Strong collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, Finance and Executive management will be critical to the success of this position.

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly manages members of the operations team including but not limited to purchasing agents and safety coordinator. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include working with operations and human resources interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
