The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School has three (3) full time positions available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on experience, for Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians, as generalist specialists, in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Family Planning Specialists are welcomed to apply to the positions. Laborist and nocturnist options can be considered for these roles, depending on the candidate.
These three positions will treat diseases and disorders of the female pelvis. Also, treats women during prenatal, in labor, and postnatal periods. Performs all aspects of generalist OB/GYN practice including cesarean delivery, hysterectomy, and all standard outpatient OB/GYN procedures.
The practice is based at University Hospital using the renovated labor floor, the Ambulatory Care Center and other sites associated with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. The practice is fully integrated in the teaching mission of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with faculty appointments in the medical school. The scope and breath of the faculty’s clinical activities promote professional interests while covering the clinical needs of the service and the educational mission. Professional interests in global health, clinical research, patient safety/quality and addiction medicine are encouraged. Leadership opportunities are available commensurate with experience and interest.
New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. This position is at Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) in Newark, NJ. Aligned with Rutgers University–New Brunswick and collaborating university-wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research. RBHS has recently agreed to a public/private partnership with RWJBarnabas Health, which will broaden the scope and reach to all New Jerseyans.
QUALFICATIONS include New Jersey Medical License and Board Eligible or Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
