Position Highlights:
Under the general direction of HR Partner leadership for a specific entity, the HR Manager is responsible for HR service delivery to a designated client area within an entity. The role functions as HR Management support to a client’s management team and staff, while developing an in-depth knowledge of the client’s operations and specific Human Resources needs. Position reports to HR Partner, Rush University Medical Group and the College of Medicine. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists with the development, management, and delivery of Human Resources services and programs. Responsible for assisting in the HR leadership for activities such as strategic staffing, employee relations consulting, talent management initiatives, organizational development initiatives, compensation planning and administration, change management, conflict management, equal opportunity/affirmative action, diversity and inclusion initiatives, leader consulting, HR communications.
Collaborates with Centers of Expertise (Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Recruitment, and Talent Management) on project work connected to the client to ensure cohesive delivery of HR programs and services to the client.
Assists in the design and facilitation of continuous improvement initiatives specifically focused on increasing organizational, team, and individual performance throughout staff and line functions.
In consultation with HR Partner leadership, acts as a resource on various human resources matters, providing guidance, assistance and support to management, supervisors and administrators
In consultation with HR Partner leadership, addresses ad hoc compliance matters including but not limited to: job description evaluation processing, new job description creation, compensation determination for staff level roles, equity review and market evaluation requests.
Plans and designs initiative-focused communications and tools to support client-focused action planning including but not limed to: Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Performance Management, etc.
Supports performance management processes, employee engagement and other key HR initiatives8. Consults, develops and coaches employees providing direction, guidance and support related to HR programs.
Improves the overall employee experience through collaboration with the rest of the HR team and seamless service delivery.
Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
Position Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s degree.
Five years of HR Generalist experience or an equivalent combination of experiences in one or more Center of Expertise, such as Employee Relations, Talent Management, Recruitment, or Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS
Demonstrated ability to influence, lead and manage projects in a heavily matrix environment.
Exceptional presentation skills; strong written and verbal communication.
Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality, and exercise independent judgment.
Highly organized to effectively plan, track, evaluate and follow up on multiple priorities for multiple people.
Sense of urgency around customer service to model behavior to others.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as required
Team player with the ability to multi-task and work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Job Qualifications:
PHR, SPHR and/or Master’s degree.
Prior HR Change Management experience.
