$90,000 – $100,000 a year
Responsible for academic, service, and scholarship matters consistent with the mission and philosophy of the academic program. Core faculty members participate in university governance and assist the program director to plan, coordinate, facilitate, administer, and monitor all activities related to the physical therapy program.
Communication
a. Maintain communication with administration, faculty, students and community regarding the development and implementation of university and program policies.
b. Participate in regularly scheduled program meetings and other University events.
Student Instruction and Curriculum Management
a. Responsible for the program’s curriculum design, student instruction, evaluation and progression, clinical education, as well as student admissions and advisement.
b. Preparation of class materials and teaching of classes as scheduled.
Governance
a. Initiate, adopt, evaluate and uphold the physical therapy program’s mission, goals and assessment of program outcomes.
b. Advancement of the academic activities and policies of the physical therapy program and University.
c. Provision of opportunity for students and peers to evaluate teaching effectiveness.
d. Evaluation and recommendation of faculty for promotion.
Leadership
a. Serve on program and university committees that are appropriate for their rank and experience.
b. Provision of time for academic advisement and guidance of students.
c. Participate in professional and community activities for the purpose of bringing education, service, and research together for the improvement of health care delivery.
d. Accept opportunities for membership on standing and ad-hoc committees of the program and University as elected or appointed.
Scholarship
a. Actively involved in scholarly activities and/or clinical practice that are appropriate for their rank and overall development.
