Ripon College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank beginning August 2023, to
participate in a vibrant educational studies program that educates teachers for PK-12 schools. A doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) or ABD in
Special Education or Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field is required.
Priority teaching areas for this position are
special education (i.e. social emotional interventions and supports, diagnoses and assessments of disabilities, literacy interventions for
students with disabilities, methods of teaching content to diverse learners), and/or primary or middle school science education. Faculty in
this position may also contribute coursework in the following areas: social foundations of education, elementary content teaching, middle
school education, teaching in non-school settings, and courses in the Catalyst Curriculum. Letters of application should explain which of the teaching areas defined above are within the
candidate’s competence; we do not expect any single candidate to cover all of these fields. The teaching load is three courses per
semester, including clinical supervision.
The faculty at Ripon College are a talented and dynamic group of teacher-scholars who work
closely with a diverse student population on capstone and undergraduate research projects, and participate in interdisciplinary
collaboration with one another on scholarship and creative activity. The faculty benefit from wide-ranging opportunities for support
including curriculum development grants, travel grants, scholarly/artistic grants, and colleague teaching grants. Successful applicants for
