Remedy Intelligent Staffing is currently hiring for a Human Resources Generalist for our client in Virginia Beach.
1. Ensures the accuracy of all employee benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information2. Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA3. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities4. Performs quality checks of benefits-related data5. Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes6. Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility7. Enrolls employees with insurance carriers and processes life status changes8. Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries9. Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to eligibility, enrollment, vesting, plan changes and contribution amounts10. Communicates with insurance and 401(k) plan vendors on a regular basis 11. Responsible for yearly communication and notification of open enrollment process12. Assists with annual 401(k) and Health & Welfare Trust audits13. Gathers/maintains information to assist with accurate preparation of Form 1095C14. Processes E-Verify for new hires15. Processes and maintains I-9 employee information
Knowledge of federal and state regulations including filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements
Associates Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
