Generate new sales opportunities for continuous organic growth of the business unit. Develop and maintain a target customer activity plan that includes opportunities, quotes, orders and projects for key customers. Work with inside and/or outside sales representatives to ensure account activities are on schedule. Coordinate with and visit target customers to provide training and product presentations. Act as a liaison between the sales and manufacturing to ensure accurate scheduled delivery dates and verification of on hand inventory. Respond to customer inquiries and review application requests and product specification. Develop conceptual designs to facilitate customer integration and application opportunities. Works with designers and customers to facilitate sale of the product. Manage and implement engineering change requests. Interpret CAD prints, along with strong understanding of GD&T. Provide 3D modeling and 2D cad drawings as required. Aid engineering team in application & product design for manufacturability. Support the development and implementation of the business strategy and ensure it is closely linked with the strategic priorities of the business.
EDUCATION
BS degree in accredited engineering, physical sciences program, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
To be able to perform this position previous experience in the following areas is preferred: power transmission products specifically with driveshafts, flexible shaft couplings and flywheel drive couplings, torsional vibration analysis, casting design, and product testing. Individual must have a strong concentration in mechanical engineering and sales. Previous experience in lean manufacturing leadership is preferred, but not required. Additional requirements include strong analytical and communication skills as well as the following:
