MUST:
Experienced VP of Information Technology
Must be eligible for a US security clearance
5+ years of working experience as a CTO (Chief Technology Officer); VP-IT (Vice President- Information Technology) or similar role for a mid-sized business, especially a government contractor providing products and services to DOD
5+ years managing big teams (IT personnel across all functional areas-developers, QA, engineers) and the whole product cycle throughout the development process
Advanced degree in business management combined with a degree in cybersecurity, web development, data management or other tech-related fields, and documented additional training to understand intellectual property rights, government regulations, information security, and privacy policies.
MA in Engineering, Computer Science or similar relevant field and or bachelors degree desired. Will accept 10 years of experience in increasing responsibility in IT senior management in lieu of degree
In-depth knowledge of leading edge technology preferred in DoD environment to include network architecture; web software and systems architecture, design and development; data engineering, information security management, or data security
Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
Experience with FedRAMP-certified software development in the Azure government cloud a big plus
Working experience in specific IT sectors, including artificial intelligence, the internet of things, or cybersecurity
Hands-on experience with complex project management
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated Microsoft 365 proficiency
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Effective negotiation and vendor management skills

Ability to direct the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure
Ability to explain the companys technical strategy to partners, stakeholders, and investors.

Ability to build appropriate environments to foster talents, innovation, and delivery of effective development strategies
Ability to anticipate and develop plans to address technological challenges
DUTIES:
Determine STI’s long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization’s business objectives
O versee all system design and changes in system architecture
Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence
Use the latest technologies to track product success, monitor product management metrics, and review technological strategies.
Establish and direct the strategic long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology department
Be responsible for the development of functional or business unit information technology strategy for the entire organization
Work with corporate management to define the corporate vision and strategy to establish the companys direction and focus
Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements
Give technical guidance on high priority projects and orient the company to trends in the information technology industry
Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
Lead technology teams in their day-to-day operations, supervising heads of departments, and setting performance goals
Develop, track and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for technology purchasing, staffing and operations
Develop policies and procedures and use technology to enhance products and services that focus on external customers
Execute multiple high impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goals
