Job description:
Provide readiness assessment support for joint mission essential tasks in support of defense readiness reporting. Maintains Combined Joint Task Force – Space Operations (CJTF- SO) J4’s readiness reporting program in accordance with Department of Defense and local readiness guidelines, directives, and instructions. Coordinates logistics and engineering services for current and future operations and advises commander and staff leadership on requirements. Resolves issues that impact CJTF-SO’s subordinate task forces’ ability to conduct space operations. Develops, evaluates, monitors, and supervises logistics planning activities and operations. Manages the supply, maintenance, and movement of CJTF- SO space forces and assets deployed around the globe. Integrates logistics and engineering requirements into the CJTF- SO’s planning cycle. Conducts CJTF- SO readiness assessment and analysis and reports findings to the CJTF- SO Commander, subordinate, and staff leadership.
Primary duty responsibilities:
Assist in the development and maintenance of Joint Mission Essential Task lists in accordance with CJCS Universal Joint Task List.
Inform CJTF-SO leadership on command and subordinate command readiness on a monthly reporting cycle.
Develop critical readiness products and submit reports to higher echelons as directed.
Attend Operational Planning Team meetings as the J4 representative to aid in the development of logistics plans in support of USSPACECOM supported or supporting combatant command OPLANS.
Ensure logistic requirements are exercised to align with the command’s strategic logistic operations.
Participate in crisis action plan creating to support CJTF-SO Commander objectives.
Develop and maintain support agreements with foreign governments and military organizations.
Provide logistics analysis, synchronization, and integration of CJTF-SO joint supply activities; review and integrate subordinate component command logistics standards and policies for CJTF-SO use.
Establish J4’s Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) Operation to enable planning and coordination of the deployment of space forces under the operational and tactical control of CJTF-SO.
Manage CJTF-SO’s operational Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) to ensure CJTF-SO capabilities are received and employed correctly.
Schedule and coordinate meetings with stakeholders regarding CJTF-SO readiness assessment and analysis findings; set agenda, take meetings notes, and identify items for action.
Complete administrative duties and coordinate with action officers as directed to ensure tasks are completed within established timelines.
Provide inputs to Monthly Status Reports to contract Team Lead.
Relevant experience:
Must have at least 5 years’ experience in:
Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Adobe PDF.
Logistics planning, support agreement management (to include agreements with foreign countries), and logistics integration and analysis.
DoDI 7730.66, DoDD 7730.65, CJCSI 3401.02B and AFI 10-210 Air Force Readiness Reporting.
Logistics support to Operation Plan (OPLAN) and Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) development.
Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES).
