The individual contributor Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will have responsibility for the execution of HR processes and activities to support designated customer groups within the Commercial Avionics organization. The HRBP will collaborate with the business as an advisor and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness, change and talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, DE&I and total rewards. Additionally, through partnership with other HR Leaders, Business Partners and COEs, this position will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, employee relations and talent development.
This position will be worked Hybrid to our Wilson, North Carolina location; one day a week remote pending business needs. Relocation assistance is available.
Primary Responsibilities:
Champions employee advocacy and serves as a trusted advisor to front, mid-level leaders, senior leaders, and employees
Culture Steward for driving a culture of Diversity and Inclusion
Designs & implements human resources strategies focused on increasing employee engagement, retention, talent health, and implementing plans for DE&I activities.
Seeks, creates, and leverages analytics to ensure that Collins and Avionics’ goals are met.
Serves as a partner focusing on brokering solutions to business problems. Collaborate with Collins/RTX COEs for best-in-class solutions.
Coaches leaders on a variety of areas, including compensation, performance management and talent acquisition
Models consistent application of Raytheon Technologies and Collins HR policies to mitigate risk and ensure equitable solutions
Drives Talent Development strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, knowledge transfer and high-potential development.
Communicates and implements proactive strategies pertaining to leadership development, talent management, and diversity & inclusion in support of strategic objectives
Perform the following attributes below:
Analytical: Ability to seek and make data-based decisions and recommendations.
Project management: Strong project management skills like organization and time management will assist the HR business partner in effectively leading assigned project toward completion.
Problem-solving & Independent starter: HRBPs often must solve problems. In this role, you will have to be able to identify the problem and then come up with a solution to overcome it. As an HRBP, you will have to be able to initiate and complete tasks without prompting.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities with short notice.
Influential Leadership: As an HRBP, you need to meet the overall objectives of the company by influencing, working through, and motivating others to complete the tasks.
Collaboration: As an HRBP, you will have to work with and across various functions to reach your objectives. You will have to be able to collaborate with a diverse group of thought partners and various parts of the HR organization to complete tasks.
Change management & communications: As an HRBP, having the ability to coach leaders and facilitate discussions around change and transformation is key.
Occasional travel may be required; up to 15%
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
This position will be worked hybrid to our Wilson, NC site; candidate must be local to the preferred area or willing to relocate
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience working in a matrixed organization
Experience in project management and continuous improvement
Experience coaching and developing leaders
