The Role
The ideal candidate will possess: (1) Experience as a senior operations leader in an FDA/GMP regulated environment managing frontline operations across multiple product lines; (2) functional expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, Lean/CI, quality and EH&S, and; (3) the leadership weight, maturity and entrepreneurial spirit to drive results in a high-growth, investor-backed environment. This is a senior level leadership role reporting directly to the COO and leading a team of more than 200 employees. The position is based in Denver, CO.
Experience and Requirements
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in an FDA and/or GMP regulated industry, with leadership and management roles of increasing responsibility. Private equity experience a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment of relevant scale and complexity (e.g. >$100 million revenue, 200+ employees, multiple product lines and manufacturing processes).
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing concepts to reduce cost and improve productivity; experience developing and leading continuous improvement programs; demonstrated track record of driving positive change.
• Experience with product quality assurance and control, supplier quality, and workforce EH&S. Contribute to strong safety performance culture.
• Demonstrated functional expertise in supply chain, including procurement, logistics, and S&OP.
• Experience in maintenance and technical programs that support production operations.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills in support of metrics, data, and process-oriented objectives; ability to succinctly report on operations measures to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong financial acumen and full P&L literacy. Able to partner with cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance) to drive performance.
• Demonstrated track record of driving strong employee engagement with strong listening and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others.
• A clear ‘bias for action’ and sense of urgency to operate within a fast-paced and entrepreneurially minded organization.
• A willingness and ability to display a ‘roll up the sleeves’ approach, engaging in driving tactical execution when necessary.
