We are currently looking for Accounts Payable Manager to join our team!  

The Accounts Payable Manager must possess in-depth Accounts Payable (AP) knowledge, as well as strong supervisory experience. Is responsible for supervising the data entry processing group  Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports . The AP Manager possesses excellent problem-solving skills and establishes processes and methodologies to run the Accounts Payable department efficiently. Attention to detail is important and the ability to multi-task is essential. The AP Manager works well, independently, to achieve department and company objectives. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the day-to-day processing of non-payroll disbursements to individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
• Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Assists in assessing and recommending, coordinating, and implementing changes and/or improvements in fiscal controls, policies, procedures, and/or financial and human resource management systems.
• Coordinates tax reporting for payments to individuals and partnerships.
• Interacts with vendors, purchasing, and departments for information.
• Interacts with internal and external auditors and participates in occasional auditing projects or provides information and access to accounting records as required.
• Prepare month end journal entries and accruals including account reconciliations.
• Manages the system uploads from A/P to GL and coordinate timing of the AP fiscal period close.
• Monitor and measure internal controls and processes for optimal efficiency.
• Review accuracy of invoices processed thru data entry and Electronic Data Management System.
• Communicate with vendors and ensure customer service standards are adhered to resolve Accounts Payable and administrative issues.
• Prepare monthly management and audit reports.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of accounts payable principles, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
• Ability to verify data input and correct errors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting, and of accounts payable processes and procedures required.
• Must possess in depth system skills including Microsoft applications, AP sub ledger systems and ancillary applications interfacing into AP system
• Microsoft Excel-VLook up and pivot tables
• Oracle a plus

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor degree from a four year college or university or combination of work experience and under graduate education.

• Minimum five years experience supervising a large group of employees, three years minimum in Accounts Payable.
