If you are a college graduate considering a career in education, becoming a teacher at Northland Preparatory and Fitness Academy may be right for you. Our robust professional develop and training program can prepare you for success in the classroom even if you have no prior experience in education. Our teaching fellows have found success in both our K-8 classrooms and as fitness instructors. We will work hand-in-hand with you in your journey in education, ensuring that you receive the training, development and licensure that you need. Teaching fellowship candidates must be highly organized, self-motivated and team players.
The mission of Performance Academies is to provide a first-rate academic and fitness program in grades K-8, emphasizing math, reading, writing, science, and citizenship, as well as tennis, martial arts, soccer, and sports psychology and physiology, in an extended school day environment. Our foremost goal is to develop strong minds and strong bodies in each of our students, preparing them for high school and beyond.
Our teaching fellows are full time employees with a starting salary of $35,000. Fellows also receive an exceptional benefit package, including participation in the State Teacher Retirement System (STRS). We provide multiple opportunities for continuing education and a mentoring program, dedicated to transforming all teachers into master educators.
