At PepsiCo, what makes you unique, makes us better! Functional Description: The Pepsi Logistics Company Inc. (PLCI) LD&T Sr Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting the brokerage account management team.
The objective of the Brokerage Account Management Sr Manager is to profitably grow external brokerage accounts through service, customer relationships, organizational structure alignment with the brokerage floor (Business Development and Carrier Management), and institution of best account management practices (tactics, techniques, procedures) across Account Management teams. This Sr Manager is expected to grow 150+ managed external accounts while maintaining margin. This role is responsible for the supporting Account Management teams who directly manage 150+ external accounts, for the 14-person After Hours team that maintains service and customer support overnight and on weekends 365 days/year, the Pricing Team that is responsible for pricing all annual bids and mini-bids throughout the year in addition to pricing all ad hoc/spot freight opportunities, the Scheduling Team that ensures dock appointments are in place timely across 180M loads per year, and the Productivity Team that ensures tableau reporting is in place to track daily, weekly and period performance across all financial and service metrics.
What you can expect: Manage of revenue across multiple external customer accounts Manage, develop and lead employees across Account Management Teams, Productivity Team, Pricing Team, After Hours Team and Scheduling Team Balance headcount cost with market driven volume and resulting revenue and net revenue Ensure account management teams are following all processes and procedures in order to maintain controls discipline and to avoid customer cost Regularly coordinate with Business Development and Carrier Management leadership in order to ensure awareness of seasonal account volume changes, customer events and opportunities, and service requirements throughout the year Onboard new customers successfully and quickly ensuring growth and profitability Develop future org design to remain out in front of rapid growth Coach mentor and train account management employees to effectively manage accounts through service, customer relationship building and ability to identify ad hoc opportunities such as spot and project Maintain a deep understanding of the truckload market in order to achieve success across all accounts Report out brokerage AM results weekly, period, quarterly, and annual What we’re looking for: Daily leadership of a large and diverse team Ability to lead in a fast paced and high growth environment Ability to flex approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders Ability to make sounds business decisions based on a deep understanding of industry and market trends Ability to train and develop new people leaders Ability to drive results across a large team with varying challenges Ability to balance short term results and long-term customer growth Communication and professionalism when dealing with our customers Ability to maintain detailed knowledge of all customer accounts Strategic thinker and leader capable of driving key initiatives across internal and external customers Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, or related field 5+ years of logistics or brokerage industry experience 5+ years of people leadership and P&L ownership Pass a drug screen and background investigation This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States Relocation Eligible:
