Auto req ID: 264937BR Job Description The LD&T Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain Leaders (managers), OTR and local driver corps (approximately 200 drivers), and administrative staff. Reports to the North Division Transportation Sr.
Director.
This role develops and leads the execution of the Michigan and Ohio Transport team business Strategy across 4 Key areas: Financials Safety and Staffing Capability Service via multiple delivery systems In addition to leading the Pennsylvania Transport team strategy, this Department Sr. Manager works closely with other Department Managers to ensure efficient overall site operations and service to external customers to include:
Develop and execute the Transportation strategy for the Pennsylvania Region, aligning to Division / National strategies Manage overall Pennsylvania transport performance with focus on balanced P&L decisions Collaborate with Sites to deliver level of excellence for customer service KPI’s Drive Transport team culture focused on The PepsiCo Way Perform mode selection analysis on the use of common carrier or internal fleet Ensure that Transport team is developed and accountable for achieving individual, team and department goals Develop the capability of future leaders and frontline Manage the performance of direct reports through performance reviews, frequent discussions, coaching, and career development action plans Work closely with upstream suppliers and downstream internal customers to deliver expected results Effective change leadership – drive business changes while minimizing people impact Coach for safe behaviors and compliance with safety policies and procedures Administer Company policies, contracts and procedure Demonstrate strong leadership behaviors and skills Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, management, engineering, or related field required 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or shipping, preferably food/beverage experience Knowledge of DOT regulations Excellent communication, facilitation and influence skills Experience developing/coaching hourly and exempt associates preferred Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity Ability to lead, influence and manage stakeholders and project teams from multiple divisions, functions and vendors. Ability to lead and manage process change and organizational change Ability to effectively engage and articulate Supply Chain concepts at the tactical levels Ability to create a safe working environment, ensuring that all members are knowledgeable of good safety practices and procedures Demonstrated people and leadership skills with a record of achieving positive business results Ability to give/receive constructive feedback Ability to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime Covid-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment dependent on role and location.
