Position Summary:
Penske is seeking a customer focused Labor Relations (LR) Administrator who will support the HRIS team by monitoring and controlling HR/LR data integrity though system testing, auditing, and tracking customer issues and requests. Other regular activates include mass updates, system configuration, analyzing union contracts, reporting, and continually improving the underlying processes that support our customers.
In partnership with other team members, the principal system this role would administer is the internally developed Penske Labor Relation System (LRS). LRS is built on the latest technology and administers pay/benefits for our union associate population. Other platforms that we most often work with are Oracle HCM, QlikView, Payroll (ADP/e-Time), and a variety of reporting tools.
Major Responsibilities:
– First Level customer support/monitoring for system issues though reviewing tickets and executing established audits.
– Review, document and test issues/new features/process improvements that arise in the system.
– System administrative tasks:
-Updating and configuring organizational tables, location information, position profiles, job profiles, and other system tables through the use of manual updates and mass update processes to administer pay, benefits, and other contract terms and conditions.
-Processing group rate changes, grow-in rates, deduction changes, rate changes, and other LRS processes.
-Validate the information is flowing correctly to downstream applications including payroll.
– Creation and distribution of ad hoc and regularly scheduled reports.
– Maintaining established security guidelines for reporting on sensitive data.
– Utilize relational DBs and reporting tools to gather required information.
– Execute test scripts & User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify system functionality is maintained or desired change was effective after enhancements or upgrades. Document results and escalate issues.
– Able to clearly explain the state of current system functionality and help identify possible areas of improvement in our systems and processes.
– Other projects as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications:
– High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
-With Bachelor’s degree: At least 1 year of experience working in a role supporting business systems, including customer support, reporting, and issue resolution. Work related to contract administration preferred.
-Without Bachelor’s Degree: At least 5 continuous years working in a system administration and contract administration role. Work related to HR, Labor Relations, or Payroll systems is required.
– Work experience related to HR, L&D, or Payroll systems is preferred.
– Intermediate understanding of systems of record and their data structure required. (HR systems Preferred)
– Intermediate understanding of contract administration (systems)
– Intermediate understanding of system administration and process compliance
– Knowledge of HR & Payroll processes and procedures preferred
– Intermediate understanding of process analysis and process improvement
– Ability to organize and manage small projects
– Quick thinker who can explain complicated positions to not only executive level leaders, but also front-line supervisors/drivers/dock associates.
– Advanced knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point required
– Intermediate level of knowledge with Access preferred
– Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
