PEAR Core Solutions, Inc. Looking for HR Generalist at New York County, New York Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a unique opportunity to work in an exciting, fast-paced HR consulting environment collaborating with multi-state and international clients in a variety of industries. This position is considered a “hybrid” position where you will be working from your home office and visiting some of our client sites in the Tri-State area on a regular basis.

As a PEAR HR Generalist, you will be providing our clients with top-notch client service while guiding them through the challenges and rewards of building an HR practice for their companies. You will provide support in such diverse areas as HR compliance, onboarding and offboarding, recruitment, benefits administration, and compensation.Through wide ranges of experiences, you will build upon your existing HR knowledge and grow your skills as an HR professional. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This is just a sampling of the many things you may be doing!

Client HR Compliance Oversight

• Develop, recommend, and implement HR-related policies and procedures (handbooks, freestanding policies, etc.).
• Provide guidance to clients in making employment decisions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as mitigate risk.
• Support client in talent acquisition, including optimizing processes, taking an active role in recruiting, interviewing, and recommending employees to fill vacant positions.
• Ensure creation and maintenance of employee personnel records, and legal compliance and completeness of information.
• Provide support to employees, including responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs, as well as responding to employee complaints and advising CEO and COO and other leadership on appropriate resolution of issues.
• Coordinate and oversee the performance review process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
• Oversee preparation of employee separation documentation and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carrier and government entities.
• Represent company at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

Client Onboarding Oversight and Ongoing Account Coordination

• Building client profile, auditing existing policies and procedures, and recommending solutions to remedy issues and create best practices
• Setting up and maintaining optimal processes for personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
• Overseeing maintenance of employee files, including such data as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
• Recommending and implementing optimal employee onboarding processes and paperwork to align with the client’s needs as well as best practices.

PROCESS PAYROLL

• Ensuring timely payroll processing, including auditing and approving of electronic timecards.
• Answer questions from employees related to payroll topics.

Benefits Administration

• Manage employee benefit programs, worker’s compensation plans, unemployment processes, and any client benefits programs.
• Answer questions regarding benefits eligibility, enrollment, updates, etc.

Talent Acquisition & Behavioral Assessments

• Collaborating with client leadership and hiring managers to determine hiring needs, position requirements, pay rates, etc.
• Manage talent acquisition processes, including creating and posting job descriptions, searching and reviewing resumes, conducting behavioral based interviews, and making recommendations for hiring.

Provide Direct Employee Support

• Manage HR email inboxes and phones for various clients and handle incoming inquires on a timely basis.
• Ensure all employees receive high-levels of service as well as accurate information.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• SHRM Certification: Preferred
• Required Experience: 4+ years of HR or related experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Human Resources— Strong knowledge of principles and procedures for one or more of the following: HR compliance; talent acquisition; employee relations; training; payroll and benefits.
