The PACCAR Global Engine team is looking for a driven Engine Verification Engineer to support product development with a specific focus on heavy-duty diesel engine performance of the North American PACCAR engine families. The selected individual will work closely with the global cross-functional team and be responsible for delivering the best performing emissions and OBD compliant engine calibrations for North America.

Job Functions /
Responsibilities
+ Conducts in-vehicle verification of diesel engine calibration and hardware
+ Collaborates with test lab calibration engineers to ensure robust calibration development
+ Works with a global embedded team to develop and test new software in-vehicle
+ Works with a global cross-functional team to ensure test requirements are achieved
+ Creates test plans and conducts targeted vehicle testing, including vehicle test trips
+ Provides technical feedback on proposed calibration changes
+ Supports current product projects
+ Ensures proper communication and documentation of work conducted including updating processes and writing reports
+ Stays current on software functionality and product requirements for the PACCAR engine families.
+ Stays technically current with the heavy-duty diesel industry.
+ Maintains positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions.
Qualifications
+ 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the automotive industry
+ Knowledge of in-vehicle calibration and data acquisition systems, calibration tools, and engine control systems
+
Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively multi-cultural environment
+ Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands.

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills
+
Ability to travel up to 15%
Education
BS in appropriate technical field required, MS degree in technical field preferred
