Our marketing team is in its nascent stage of being established and rapidly growing.
We have a growing marketing team that brings a wealth of experience carrying forward our principles of being a data led organization. Combined we bring a wealth of experience from various organizations and industries that have enabled us to grow faster than any company in our space.

The Role:
Our marketing team is rapidly evolving as the Ownwell business grows. In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact both the strategic and tactical aspects of the Ownwell marketing directly influencing the customer lifecycle journey. This role will report directly to the CEO, Colton Pace.

Responsibilities:
Growth and Acquisition
Identify, test, and scale new marketing channels to diversify our reach and optimize our marketing mix. Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage emerging platforms to reach our target audience.
Implement creative, low-cost strategies to help our business acquire and retain customers. Leverage data-driven, unconventional, and viral marketing techniques to achieve maximum results with minimal resources.
Develop, test, and refine new methodologies for customer acquisition. Continually optimize our marketing funnel to improve cost of acquisition and customer lifetime value.
Drive innovation including new products and customer expansion from concept, market testing, development, and go-to-marketing launch and promotional plans to successfully drive new sales as outlined in our strategic plan.
Optimize marketing results by setting clear KPIs, measuring and monitoring performance, and recommending marketing plan adjustments to improve performance.
Monitor and analyze the performance of our marketing initiatives. Use data to make informed decisions, continually optimizing our strategies to maximize ROI.
Marketing Strategy
Create opportunities and new capabilities that result in a competitive advantage.
Conduct regular competitive research to remain current on industry and competitor activities to inform product and brand positioning.
Drive an operating model for the team that significantly improves the efficiency of the marketing organization and its interactions with all functional leaders.
Develop new solutions to better surface intelligence and visualize insights that correlate to actionable in-market activation opportunities.
Identify target addressable markets and ideal customer profiles; tailor our messaging, targeting, and marketing campaigns.
Increase customer engagement to grow retention and upsell/cross-sell revenue to support revenue goals.
Thought Leadership:
Strengthen the company’s market position and thought leadership through a variety of channels, including newsletters, speaking engagements, and social media.
Manage relationships with industry analysts to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure accurate and comprehensive understanding of Ownwell’s solutions and capabilities.
Implement an earned media strategy that highlights Ownwell in national and trade press and events.
Manage third party vendors (PR agencies, etc.) as appropriate.
Lead the Marketing Team
Foster a high performance team culture that also enables individual and group learning.
Recruit and retain high-talent marketing professionals as well as create career growth opportunities for existing team members.
Communicate clearly and directly with employees about performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.
Coordinate across the organization by proactively providing visibility into the teams’ work, including celebrating successes, learning from failures, and managing expectations.
Hiring process overview:
For this interview process you can expect an in-person and virtual component.
The process will consist of initial video or in-person interviews with the CEO or/ and Head of People.
As the conversations progress, relevant candidates will meet with the executive team along with spending time with product and design team members.
We will also offer an opportunity to simulate a real life project.
Requirements:
Skills
Growth-driven, high-energy, self-starter who gets along well with others and acts in a manner that promotes teamwork and builds credibility and trust in the marketing department.
Proven success designing and executing marketing strategy at early stages.
Startup background and proven success leading marketing strategies during product expansion phase.
Must be able to define content and strategy, and drive excellence in execution across multiple domains – PR’s, social media, website, written content, etc
Familiar with marketing automation tools, CRM and communication platforms.
Successful experience creating, planning, executing, and measuring marketing campaigns across channels including email, web, social media, video, newsletters, paid search, and other channels on time and within budget.
Demonstrated experience in building and managing high-performing teams with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members.
Ability to read business research and understand the key insights and how these are relevant to the executive team and investors.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams managing multiple projects simultaneously with a keen attention to detail.
Power user of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
