Position Summary
The Director serves a critical function by leading our client teams and focusing primarily on creating and implementing efficient, capacity-building, fundraising plans to help our clients meet their goals.
The Director will be a comprehensive fundraiser responsible for leading and managing project-based teams in the following service areas:
This position may be based in our Washington DC or New York City office and will manage clients regionally, nationally, and internationally (as needed). Based on the needs of our individual clients, this position may require up to 50% of your time (2.5 days per week) spent at the client’s site. In addition to client team leadership, Directors are expected to assume an active leadership and mentoring role within Orr Group.
Responsibilities
Each project that a Director may engage in will be specifically tailored and designed for the needs of that particular client. It is essential for a Director to be able to handle multiple accounts simultaneously, adapt to the varying needs of clients, and lead and manage a team to do the same. That being said, Directors typically manage the day-to-day account operations, drive teamwork strategies, and serve as the principal liaison with the client. They actively lead the fundraising efforts for the client, as well as lead data collection and analysis, report writing, and client presentations.

Qualifications
At least 10+ years of nonprofit sector experience with a focus in either event management, planned giving, major gift, or campaign management is required.
Additional Information
Base salary starting at $100K annually + $25,000 bonus potential; subject to adjustment based on geolocation.
