As a part of our continued growth, we are searching for experienced Lead / Medical Director, Family Medicine Physician who shares our vision and values and commitment to providing value-based patient care and ability to contribute and practice in collaborative team environment.

This new clinical leadership opportunity will be approximately seventy percent clinical care and thirty percent administration. Position will be based at both the Downey and Whittier clinic locations. 

Clinical care:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses
• Counsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns
• Document item(s) such as: appropriate chief complaint, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment, and plan
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans, prescribe, and administer medications, therapies, and procedures, order labs and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provides advice on follow up
• Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
• Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice

Leadership:

• Direct and coordinate all clinical activities that impact our patients at designated clinic sites in the community
• Oversee providers at clinic sites to assure quality and operational needs are being met
• Ensure all clinical services meet regulatory and quality standards and guidelines
• Work collaboratively with regional leadership team 
• Participate in interview, hiring and ongoing training processes for new clinicians

 Requirements:

• Unrestricted CA Physician License
• Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date
• BE/BC in Family or Internal Medicine
• Minimum 1 – 3 years’ Primary Care experience required; managed care background  preferred
• Minimum 1 – 2 years of recent leadership experience required
• Ability to develop positive interaction with patients, families, physicians, administrators, and teammates to effectively care for the patient.  
• Proficient in Spanish preferred
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• EMR Proficient
