OPS Consulting, LLC Looking for Division Director (Intel Market) at Hanover , MD Full Time

• In coordination with the COO and Executive Team, plans and directs a division’s activities, objectives, and initiatives according to the mission of the organization.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate the work of Supervisors, Team Leads and staff.
• Reviewing employee performance, conducting meetings with supervisors and team leads to discuss employee progress, and making recommendations for hiring, firing, or disciplinary action
• Assist Executive Team members in creating, growing, and building a world-class industry leading organization
• Drive divisional and company results from an operational perspective (i.e. contract execution, staffing, etc.) working closely with the COO, CFO, CSO and other key team members.
• Partner with the President, COO, and CSO to set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance, and profitability.
• Work in partnership with the COO and CSO to forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, and other professional business relationships.
• Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures for your division in coordination with the COO, CSO to achieve company goals.
• Oversee daily operations of the specific company activities and the work as they relate to your division.
• Promote company culture and vision
• Work with Director of Recruiting to staff open positions.
• Manage employees:
  • Timesheets submitted daily and approved weekly and PTO management
  • Hiring and Fire decision authority in coordination with HR
  • Employee Performance, Reviews, Development, Training and Salary administration in coordination with COO and HR
  • Work with COO and HR for any Discipline actions
  • Work with FSO to maintain employee clearances
• Represent the organization to external stakeholders
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations

Division Directors need the following proven skills:

• Leadership: Leadership is the ability to guide and motivate a team to achieve common goals. As a division director, you will be responsible for managing a team of employees. Effective leadership can help you to create a productive and positive work environment. Leadership skills can also help you to develop and train other leaders within your division.
• Communication: Division directors communicate with their team members and other company leaders. They use verbal and written communication to convey ideas and information to their team. They also use communication to give feedback to employees. Effective communication skills can help a director lead their team effectively.
• Decision-making: As a director, you are responsible for making important decisions that affect your team and the company as a whole. Your ability to make sound decisions is an important skill for this role. A director needs to be able to evaluate a situation and determine the best course of action. This may include evaluating the potential outcomes of different decisions and choosing the option that best serves the companys goals.
• Problem-solving: Problem-solving is the ability to identify and resolve issues. You will need to step in and help resolve issues that arise within your teams and division. This can include everything from resolving interpersonal conflicts to finding solutions to program issues.
• Strategic planning: Strategic planning is the ability to create a plan for the future and develop a path to achieve your goals. As a division director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans for your division. Strategic planning requires you to be able to identify goals, create a plan to achieve those goals and evaluate your progress.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
• 7+ years of leadership experience in the Federal Government Contracting industry with specific experience concentrated within the Intelligence Community at Fort Meade preferred.
• Proven track record of successful people and team management experience across multiple Intel organizations and program offices
• Experience working directly with Intelligence Community and Government personnel, ideally in an operationally focused role: Vice President, Director, Supervisor, Team Lead
• Experience with Government/DoD budgets, investments, and acquisition processes
• Demonstrated experience actively participating in a proposal writing that resulted in contract award.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills.
• Strong analytic skills and demonstrated ability to direct and coordinate tasks/activities on time sensitive efforts to meet the divisional internal and external deadlines.
• Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, information, and reports
• Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant operational activities, including building teams, assessing development needs, and executing operational plans to meet divisional goals and objectives
• Ability to gain internal support, and establish a solid working relationship with the Executive Team, Leadership Team including other Division Directors, technical staff, and peers across the organization
• Ability to travel locally in MD and NOVA markets 10% of time.
