YOUR ROLE at NWHS: As our Human Resources Assistant, you will work alongside the HR team in all aspects of onboarding new employees and facilitating employee relations. Acting as an employee liaison, you will respond to personnel requests and inquiries from agency staff, managers, supervisors, coordinators, and directors. Additionally, you will assist with new hire reference checks, background checks, documents processing, and personnel file maintenance.
This position works in an office environment and is not eligible for remote work.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
Proficient in computers, copying, scanning, faxing, and multi-line telephone and proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel
Ability to manage, prioritize, and appropriately delegate multiple projects under differing timelines
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum of two years of previous work experience in Human Resources
Thorough knowledge and understanding of State, Local, and Federal employment-related laws and regulations
