Northwell Health’s Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a BE/BC Psychiatrist to join Mather Hospital’s Outpatient Psychiatric Physician Services Program located in Port Jefferson, New York. The ideal candidate should be committed to evidence-based care, be energetic and innovative and enjoy a collaborative, team-based approach.
This is a truly unique opportunity to join Mather’s Outpatient Psychiatric Physician Services Program – an outpatient program that provides care to adult patients who have a combination of medical and psychiatric concerns. Services include outpatient psychiatric treatment from a team of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners who provide evaluation and medication management for disorders including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, personality disorders and post- traumatic stress disorder. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supervision of 3rd year Psychiatry residents.
Mather Hospital, a member of Northwell Health, is an accredited 248-bed, non-profit community teaching hospital. Mather is one of the few Long Island hospitals to offer inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for both adolescents and adults. It is the only acute care hospital in Suffolk County with an adolescent psychiatric unit and an adolescent partial hospitalization program.
