Clinical Coordinator, Post Anesthesia Care, Evanston Hospital – (84359)
Position Highlights:
* Position: Clinical Coordinator, PACU
* Location: Evanston Hospital
* Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time
* Hours: Monday – Friday, 0730 start time. Flexible – 4 x 10 hour shifts or 5 x 8 hour shifts. No weekends, holidays or call.
* Required Travel: N/A
What you will need:
* License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
* Certification: BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS certification required.
* Experience: ASU/PACU experience preferred
* Skills: Team building, leadership acumen, critical thinking and effective communication. Must demonstrate competency in care of all patient age groups specific to specialty. Competencies are unit/specialty specific.
What you will do:
* Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
* Manage day to day clinical operations and unit workflow/throughput
* Would assume direct patient care if necessary
* Be accountable for the outcomes of care for patients in a specific clinical care area(s)
* Guide and direct a team of care-givers in providing high quality, individualized care to the patient and family, while preparing them for discharge
* Guides staff development by teaching, mentoring and counseling with new and experienced staff, for both clinical and customer loyalty skills
* Takes lead on clinical performance management
