Responsibilities: Northern State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in teacher education. Responsibilities include teaching face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment, supervise teacher candidates in field experiences, conduct research to add to the existing body of research, and serve the field of education, the Northern State University campus community, and the broader Aberdeen community in a variety of ways.
Qualifications: Applicants must possess a terminal degree in education. ABDs who will complete their degree before the date of appointment will be considered. Qualified candidates will have early childhood credentials and PK-12 teaching experience. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teacher education and the ability to build an effective rapport with students in online and face-to-face learning environments. Candidates should have effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
