Job Description:
Purpose:
The CNC Programmer supports CNC Manufacturing Operations by troubleshooting CNC Machinery and working closely with the Production team to create and edit new/existing programs.
Accountabilities:
Creates and edits new/existing CNC programs to support component fabricated on CNC Swiss Machines.
Works closely with Machine Operators to troubleshoot and resolve part manufacturing issues with CNC Machines
Collaborates with Team Supervisors and Leads to identify and create efficiencies in cycle time reduction, quality issues, and other machining issues as required.
Trains Operators with new tooling, program changes, and new equipment.
Providing technical support with batch setups, tool selection, and tool sourcing
Researches new tooling, methods, and programming techniques to help produce high precision-high quality components.
Supports in new equipment setup and testing
Works with CNC Maintenance team to help troubleshoot equipment issues as required.

Job Requirements:
Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:
High school diploma required (college, technical or trade school preferred)
4-6 years as a machine operator
1-2 years of experience in CNC programming is required.
2+ years of experience in CNC Programming is preferred
Must be able to program according to Engineering Drawings and understand critical dimensions as they pertain to repeatability, equipment capabilities, tooling, scaled-up production, and manufacturability given existing equipment capabilities.
Must have an ability to work from rough drawings, schematic layouts, technical manuals, and general descriptions of what is desired
Must be able to setup CNC equipment to run the programmed part and assess feasibility effectively and continuously.
Critical Skills/technical know-how:
CNC setup to ensure First Article compliance.
Troubleshooting ability related to CNC equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability.
Knowledge in the mechanical and electrical function of the CNC machines.
Critical Experience:
Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment that demands high precision and high-volume repeatability at tight tolerances.
Medical device experience preferred
Knowledge of Machine M- and G-codes and tool path development.
Experience with CAD/CAM CNC Programming software required (Partmaker, TB Deco, and/or SilviExpert preferred)
Proficient using MS Office, eDocument management skills
Must be a strong communicator and group collaborator
