Responsibilities:
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Source, identify, and engage with potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
Conduct thorough candidate assessments and interviews to evaluate their qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for various roles within the insurance industry.
Utilize applicant tracking systems to manage candidate information, track progress, and ensure a seamless recruitment process.
Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, industry associations, and other relevant networks to attract top talent.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to adapt recruitment strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with hiring teams to coordinate interview processes, gather feedback, and make informed hiring decisions.
Negotiate job offers and provide guidance to candidates throughout the hiring process.
Participate in employer branding initiatives and represent New York Life at career fairs and industry events.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry. Experience in recruiting for various positions within the insurance field is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge and understanding of talent acquisition best practices, sourcing strategies, candidate evaluation techniques, and recruitment technologies.
Familiarity with insurance products, roles, and industry-specific requirements to effectively evaluate candidates’ qualifications and cultural fit within New York Life.
Proven ability to proactively source and attract qualified candidates using a variety of channels, such as job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and referrals.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
Ability to work collaboratively with hiring managers, HR teams, and other stakeholders to align recruitment strategies with business objectives and hiring needs.
Strong analytical skills to track and analyze recruitment data, including key performance indicators, and provide insights to improve recruitment strategies and outcomes.
Comfortable using applicant tracking systems (ATS), social media platforms, and other recruitment tools to streamline processes, manage candidate data, and optimize sourcing efforts.
Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to talent acquisition, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations and data privacy laws.
Demonstrated professionalism, ethical conduct, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
