Job Purpose:
The Market Activation Manager will lead the relationship management with the Machine Partners (i.e. Breville, etc.) to ensure the alignment on annual plans, new machine launches and/or specific machine range developments, promotional tactic execution, and business acquisition strategies to support sell-in and sell-out objectives to achieve the Nespresso USA OP and MBS strategy. This is a hybrid-based work schedule that will be based at Nespresso’s Corporate location in New York City, NY.
Responsibilities:
• Lead execution of US market initiatives and machine partner ‘Must Win Battles’ to support sell-out of 1.5MM+ machines annually by orchestrating activities with machine partners and trade partners.
• Own the communication of the annual national promotion calendars, national promotion terms & conditions, customer specific promotion guardrails, and ongoing customer specific promotion plans to ensure machine partner alignment and commitment to supply the machines required to support Nespresso’s plans.
• Lead meetings and business reviews between Nespresso and machine partners that includes key stakeholders at all levels, including Directors, Vice Presidents, Presidents, and CEOs in the market and at headquarters.
• Ensure internal communication of machine partner initiatives through cross-functional interactions.
• Ensure responsibilities and activities between Nespresso and machine partners adhere to terms within the machine partner global contracts.
• Orchestrate the cross-functional activities required to launch new machines in the US market and the activities required for creation of locally initiated customized product bundles to support US trade partner opportunities.
• Own the communication with machine partners to ensure alignment on launch plans including machine models, forecasts, marketing plans, channel assignments, retailer acceptances, distribution, timing, etc.
• Lead continuous improvements to the new machine launch process by liaising with internal key stakeholders including, but not limited to, Trade Marketing, Marketing, Retail, Trade Sales Team, TQM and others, as needed.
• Manage the integrated planning process to drive alignment and shared ownership between cross functional stakeholders to deliver high quality acquisition and deliver the annual Operational Plan.
• Manage the development and execution of the Acquisition Hub processes to drive and evolve the Nespresso acquisition model.
• Monitor and report Machine Partner performance vs. annual objectives and establish action plans in case of deviation with objectives.
• Track and report machine partner & trade partner machine inventory levels.
• Maintain and publish machine partner distribution and assortment grids for each key account.
• Gather and circulate all relevant information to key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or in a related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management and/or Marketing required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, organizational and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, agile, able to multi-task and have strong customer service skills.
• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business.
The approximate pay range for this this position is $123,000 to $145,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
