Location: This job may be based out of a Natus site or 100% Remote in USA.

Main Responsibilities

• Stay abreast of industry trends and technology and apply that knowledge to create software architectures for one or more products
• Contribute the definition and documentation of software architecture
• Provide thought leadership in use of best practices and shares successes, which are translated into tools/process improvements
• Participate in user, product and software requirements discussion and analysis
• Write and review detailed software technical specifications
• Create and update design documentation throughout lifecycle and review designs of others
• Implement performant and reliable software components and services
• Create and execute unit test plans and review the plans of others
• Assist less experienced engineers in design, implementation and debugging of complex software
• Participate in design reviews to insure that designs effectively and efficiently fit within the established architecture
• Provide support and guidance on challenging design related topics able to adjust architecture as needed to provide optimal end to end solutions
• Drive cross domain cooperation between the ensuring knowledge sharing

Travel Required: up to 20% domestic or international travel on a project need basis

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science or related and 7+ years’ software development experience in a heavily regulated industry coding hands on with C# .net. A combination of education and experience may be considered
• Fluent in one or more software architecture modeling tools (Enterprise Architect, Rational, etc)
• High proficiency with software architecture, design principles and patterns: MVVM and MVC
• Proficiency in MSBE using SysML or UML
• Experience in architecting software systems on multiple platforms such as Android, Windows, Cloud etc.
• High proficiency with C#, .NET, Angular, ASP.NET, .NET Core, WPF, with at least 7 years’ development experience using one or more of these technologies
• Proficiency with web services such as SOAP, REST, or Web API
• Experience in building containered services using Docker
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent with both Agile and Waterfall SDLCs
• High proficiency using GitHub, Azure DevOps Git repos, or similar
• Working knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS, Web Frameworks
• Proficient with debuggers and profilers

Desirable Qualifications (Optional)

• Understanding of HL7, FHIR (health standards) and SQLite/SQL Server is desirable
• Working knowledge of Azure Cloud (preferred) or AWS, GCP
• Experience with one or more Test Automation tools / frameworks
• Working knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 preferred
• Experience with Perforce, JIRA, Agile PLM or similar tools desired
