At Zions Bancorporation we are currently looking for a Director Technology, Cybersecurity & Data Governance Risk to join our excellent team. The Director will:
• Be responsible for oversight of operational risk practices and reporting focused on technology, cyber security, and data governance for tech, cyber and digital risk frameworks.
• Lead the second line of defense for IT and cybersecurity related risks and matters. Provide overall responsibility for to develop, evaluate and implement risk management best practices and establish consistent process that comply with regulatory requirements and business needs and directing strategic modeling involved in an organizations operating risk management.
• Develop, evaluate and implement risk management systems and establish consistent processes that comply with regulatory requirements and business needs.
• Provide independent risk oversight of the IT and Information Security functions.
• Direct the development of processes to identify, mitigate and track risk related to the company.
• Interface with all banks, external regulators, auditors, etc.
• Ensure required risk reports for senior and executive management are produced.
• May participate in first line of defense councils, committees, methodology/standards discussions, change management or other meetings that could involve key risk decisions.
• Management for control oversight, which includes providing guidance in the development of technical and process-based controls and evaluating controls to ensure risks are properly mitigated and are operating effectively.
• Provide support and guidance in the development and implementation of risk metrics, including key risk indicators.
• Evaluate alignment with the Operational Risk Management Framework.
• Review and validates technical processes to ensure they are adequately designed.
• Develop and implement applicable risk training, as needed.
• Perform targeted reviews to ensure risks are appropriately identified and mitigated.
• As needed interface with executive management and the board of directors.
• Be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• 12+ years of experience in Information Security, technology risk management, IT audit, technology operations, operational risk management, risk systems, process and procedures, regulation and laws or other related experience.
• Experience leading an information security, technology risk management, IT audit or similar function.
• Extensive in-depth knowledge of effective operational risk practices and reporting. Working knowledge of information technology & cybersecurity functions & industry frameworks (NIST, ITIL, COBIT, etc.).
• In depth knowledge of information security frameworks, controls, practices, IT risk management frameworks, controls, practices, regulatory guidance regarding IT and cybersecurity (e.g., FFIEC handbooks, Cybersecurity assessment tool, OCC heightened risk management standards, etc.)
• Experience working with internal/ external auditors and regulators.
• Experience leading a team focused on information security, IT risk management or IT audit.
• Skill of consulting with senior management/executives in the design and development of long-range strategic plans and objectives.
• Experience leading a team through strategic change.
• Ability to retain a respectful position in challenging situations with key technology & cybersecurity stakeholders, auditors and examiners.
• Demonstrated ability to manage initiatives and adapt to change.
• Ability to lead multi-stakeholder discussions on sensitive topics, build consensus and influence leaders toward positive outcomes.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• A combination of education and experience may meet job qualifications.
• CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or other relevant certifications is a plus.

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
