Experience in administering, analyzing, and interpreting formative and summative EL program data8. Experience in identifying and establishing Professional Development activities for school staff9. Ability to work collaboratively with federal, state, and local agencies focused on initiatives for limited Englishproficient students10.
Experience in grant writing, specifically Title III of the ESEA11. Multilingual skills and bicultural background highly desirable12. Excellent organizational skillsREQUIREMENTS: 1) Supervises and evaluates EL instructional teachers and supporting services staff2) Directs all programs related to the instruction of students as English Language Learners3) Coordinates the entry/exit process for EL students and implements transition services.4) Prepares an annual operating budget, with such supporting data as necessary for clarification to the Superintendentand to the School Committee.5) Supervises and evaluates EL instructional teachers and support staff6) Promotes and develops business and community collaborations7) Collaborates with the Director of Special Services for the referral, identification and assessment of EL students whomay have special needs and serves, as needed, as a member of Child Study or IEP teams8) Prepares reports and serves as liaison to the Massachusetts Department of Education (DESE) in the area of EL.
