Position Functions & Responsibilities
1.One year experience in property management, delivery of housing or services, office management, or experience commensurate with responsibilities outlined above.
2.Prefer a background in HUD housing including some familiarity with HUD Handbooks as related to HUD properties.
3.Prefer knowledge of Shelter Plus Care Program.
4.Prefer familiarity with Landlord Tenant Law and its application.
5.Proven basic mathematical aptitude.
6.Excellent communications skills both oral and written, including well developed telephone and email skills.
7.Demonstrated commitment to the empowerment of low-income and/or special needs people. Prefer some experience working with the mentally ill.
8.Must have good organization skills and be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
9.Previous experience with record keeping and office organization a must.
10.Must be computer literate, competent in Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet. Ability to master multiple, diverse, software systems. Experience with Boston Post or other property management software, a plus.
11.Experience using office equipment i.e.: telephone, copier, fax, and scanner.
12.Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Lift arms above head for a period of time, lift up to 25 lbs., understands the job has risk involved in regards to inspecting units and the population served in community mental health.
13.Must have transportation, auto insurance coverage, valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel to agency properties when necessary.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
