The Lift Maintenance Electrical Technician is a full-time, year-round position that works alongside Lift Maintenance Mechanics to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all aerial (12) and surface lifts (3). They will provide electrical instruction and training to the Lift Maintenance crew to warrant their safety while performing daily duties and responsibilities. This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of the following: mechanical and electrical systems and principles, various voltages, electric motors and drives, low voltage control systems, PLC troubleshooting, safe industrial work practices, aerial & surface lift-specific maintenance procedures, detailed maintenance inspections & the ability to work safely with minimal to no supervision in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
The Lift Maintenance Electrical Technician responds directly to the Lift Maintenance Electrical Supervisor, and Lift Maintenance Managers and will work with and take direction from Lift Maintenance Supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Licenses/Certifications: LME or comparable electrical license, 2 ILM Certificates from PNSAA or another Lift Maintenance Seminar (RMLA, LMS, etc.) and climbing certified.
Technical: Mechanical/Electrical theories; industrial safety proficiency; advanced fundamental troubleshooting principles. Ability to decipher and understand various schematics. Good working knowledge of computers, basic Microsoft programs and search tools.
Additional: Communicate clearly and effectively using radio communications; hazard recognition; environmental training. Ability to work outside in a high alpine environment at elevations that exceed 50′ above ground in varying, often extreme weather. Possess the understanding of properly using PPE. Aware of current ANSI B-77, NEC and OSHA codes and requirements.
Education required: 2-year technical degree, or certification in Electronics or Industrial Controls.
Time in related position: Must have a minimum of 2 years of electrical experience with emphasis on troubleshooting circuits
