MSD Brooklyn Heights:
The large multispecialty practice is located at 300 Cadman Plaza West, Brooklyn, NY 11201 serving a diverse community. The practice is in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, which is a short walk to DUMBO, downtown Brooklyn, Cobble Hill, and Carrol Gardens offering an endless array of restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. Brooklyn waterfront provides parks, ball fields, and playgrounds with possibly the greatest view in NYC. Additionally, there are premier school districts, public and private within walking distance of practice, as well as numerous cultural activities such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Mark Morris Dance Studio. Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights offers comprehensive care with radiology including FFDM, ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan.
Mount Sinai Queens Hospital:
The Department of Department of Diagnostic, Molecular and Interventional Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a full or part time Breast Imaging Radiologist for the Mount Sinai Queens Hospital.
The Department of Radiology of the Mount Sinai Health System and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is recruiting a fellowship-trained breast imager for the expanding Mount Sinai Health System. The System includes primary care and tertiary care centers including the Dubin Breast Center and the Blavatnik Family – Chelsea Medical Center as well as a mobile mammography van with a wealth of interesting cases. The breast section’s state of-the-art imaging equipment includes over 20 digital breast tomosynthesis units, 1.5T and 3T MRIs, ultrasound and an interventional service offering wire and non-wire localizations, stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound and MRI guided biopsies. Over 60,000 mammograms (>95% tomosynthesis), 25,000 ultrasounds and 2000 MRI exams are performed yearly. Our section participates in weekly multidisciplinary conferences with colleagues in surgical, medical and radiation oncology as well as genetics, pathology and plastic surgery and more. Our team of breast cancer experts works together to provide seamless, personalized, and holistic care system wide.
The successful candidate will join a robust breast imaging section of 19 dedicated breast imagers (100% breast imaging – no call required, although weekend moonlighting opportunities exist in breast and other sections). We cover multiple hospital, free standing and breast center locations in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan supplemented by screening mobile mammography. Education is an important part of the Sinai mission. Breast imaging fellows learn along side breast surgery and breast pathology fellows. You will teach all of them. The system has over 80 radiology residents who receive comprehensive breast imaging instruction by the section’s members. A breast imaging medical student elective is also offered. Research occurs throughout the health system and has been published in journals such as Radiology, AJR, JBI, Clinical Imaging, JACC-Imaging and more. Your colleagues will be active in multiple roles in SBI and ACR and an active mentorship program is in place. The successful candidate(s) will work in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.
