Job Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Technician at Mobility Works , you will perform a variety of highly skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment. Your duties will include:
• Conducting diagnostics and testing on vehicles
• Installing and connecting various electric wiring systems
• Performing functional tests of electrical systems and correcting any identified problems
• Installing electrical panels and other components as described by engineering, while ensuring the quality of your work
• Reading and understanding schematics, examining vehicles, and discussing with service writer/service manager to identify and recommend necessary repairs and maintenance
• Performing under-car, under-hood, and preventive maintenance inspections and providing accurate reports
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems related to your work
What You Should Bring:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience
• Experience working with brake and steering systems
• Solid electrical and/or automotive wiring experience
• Proficiency in working with hydraulic and electrical systems
• Strong background in electronic troubleshooting and repair
• Excellent mechanical problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Bonus Points:
• Experience in the mobility industry, particularly with wheelchair accessible vehicles
