Are you a badass line cook? We want your talent. Millie’s is looking for 3 solid hold your own soldiers to come and rock the summer season with us. Our ideal candidates have a high drive for success and care about the quality and presentation of the food they put out. We are a fast-paced upscale casual restaurant that thrives on coordination, timing, and speed. We are “the place to be” and our restaurant has internal seating for 80, a patio for 60, and a deck that seats an additional 80. Our backyard is beautifully fenced with pickleball, sand volleyball, a kids’ play area, a stage for bands and acoustic acts (scheduled 5+ nights a week), and an outdoor bar. We are the destination and people come here in large groups to have fun. We are open year-round, 5 days a week in the off-season, and then beginning May 1st we’re open 7 days a week thru September.
We are certainly team-oriented. Our chef is talented and we have a solid infrastructure from our off-season but are looking to plug in additional people with your talents during the summer season. We expect our employees and co-workers to show up early, bring their A-game, and want to work. We will show you exactly how we want it done and you bring your talents to implementing those realities. We have a nightly special sheet that features 3 items each evening and your creativity and collaboration with the chef are certainly welcome. Our kitchen is new, our equipment is new and it all works. We have the upstairs line with 3 on per evening, a pantry station, a dish pit, and a pizza oven out from behind the bar with 2 people working that station. Additionally, we have a full brand new prep kitchen downstairs that helps support all the activity happening upstairs. This place is a beast but with the right team, it can be wildly successful.
We have employee housing directly behind Millie’s. They are brand new condos with a living room and kitchen at ground level and 3 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms upstairs. Individual rooms are $550/month with an upfront $400 damage deposit. These places are fantastically nice, we want to keep them that way. If you are interested in sharing a bedroom that is also a possibility for $350/month.
We do have one year-round position available for the right candidate and the rest of the positions available are seasonal. We would need each of you to stay thru September and for doing so we give you an additional $300 on your last paycheck. If you have a drinking problem or are trying to get sober this IS NOT the place for you. I want to be able to support you in your best lifestyle and if drinking is a trigger for you this place is a challenge because it is built casually into the culture and all around you. Be honest with yourself so you can set yourself up for success.
Not all positions will begin immediately. I need one line cook at the end of April, another in the middle of May, and another in the middle of June. I try to stagger everyone in accordance with our season so we can all maximize the hours that are available.
