Highlights Newly created role located in Burr Ridge, IL. Rapidly growing asset-based truck and brokerage company providing freight management logistics services locally and across the U.S. HR Manager will own and enhance key areas, such as talent acquisition/retention of (non-driver) staff, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. Talent Acquisition Perform full cycle recruiting of non-driver staff locally and oversees. Develop/maintain job descriptions library. Coordinate and conduct new-hire orientation and onboarding. Talent Retention, Employee Relations, Performance Management Provide day-to-day guidance to management related to employees (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity. Benefit Administration Work together with brokers and TPAs to administer benefits to employees. Perform regular audits of benefit deductions. Compliance Manages I-9 form completion and storage of electronic information. Ensures that all personnel records are complete and filed appropriately. Processes unemployment claims, as well as other required separation correspondences (e.g. severance and reference letters). Monitor vacation and leave time. Implement an Employee Handbook and ensure compliance. Manage and process Workers’ Compensation claims. About YOU BS/MS Degree in Business/ HR or Active HR Certification (either through HRCI or SHRM). 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience. Ability to understand the business operations from a strategic and tactical perspective. Experience in supply chain or logistics industry PLUS Russian language skills PLUS
