This Sign Production position is responsible for a variety of tasks related the production of signs and graphics in our sign production facility. We are a full service, custom sign shop that provides quality products and services to our awesome customers. Our team is small but mighty. We have fun, work hard and love what we do. Attitude, dependability, positivity, and work ethic are key factors of success in this role.
A team member in this role will run our Kongsberg flatbed cutter, help fabricate, and assemble various types of signs and vinyl. Experience is not necessary; we are willing to train the right person. Experience in construction or a skilled trade is helpful but not required. Customer relations and service are a priority in all jobs. Attention to detail is a must! Work hours usually fall between the hours of 10:00am – 7:00 pm, Monday – Friday with overtime as needed during peak business times.
Compensation & Benefits –
- Starting Pay: $16.00-18.00+/hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and understand written job instructions.
- Learn proprietary cutter software to aid with running cutter machine.
- Run Kongsberg flatbed cutter.
- Assist with fabrication and assembly of several types of signs and vinyl.
- Aid in other production tasks as needed.
- Safely operate non-computer driven power tools including a drill press, table saw, belt sander, and pedestal grinder.
- Safely operate various handheld power tools including a portable sander, air sander, cordless drill, and cordless saws.
- Drive a fork truck and operate a roll laminator.
- Comfortable working without direct supervision for extended periods of time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license with the ability to obtain a chauffeur’s license.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
- Ability to perform basic shop math and to use/read a tape measure.
- Ability to use a digital caliper to take precise measurements in both the U.S. Customary and Metric systems.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment.
- Comfortable working with computers and different proprietary software.
- Experience in the weeding, taping, and application of vinyl sign film preferred.
- Knowledge of sign substrates preferred.
- Willing to work overtime during peak business times – including occasional weekends.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Comfortable performing tedious tasks – able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working in a some-times noisy environment.
- May be required to remain standing, seated or stooped in a stationary position for an extended period.
- Ability to operate standard office technology, equipment, and tools, which includes frequent use of a computer.
- Frequently needs to move about inside or outside of an office area.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the exposure.
- Frequently moves equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds for transport between areas of buildings.
- This position requires onsite presence at the employee’s assigned location for all scheduled shifts.
- This position may require occasional off-site installation work.
